I believe it is a female Acorn Woodpecker.
Ding, ding, ding! I think so too - although who knows about the sex. There are a bunch of them that hang around in this oak tree on the way to the park. Neato, huh? Thanks for participating in this edition of Name That Bird! I'm still waiting for someone to say, "Fred".
I happen to have a picture of a male and female and I am 99% sure it is a female. They have more white on the neck. Bye for now.
You're all wrong. It is definitely a Red Headed Penguin. It is a little far north of its' normal habitat, but what with global warming and tidal waves, I think that it is not unprobable that this is a correct indentification. You have think outside of the box. Love, S.D.
Sorry, I misspelled identification. But it is still definitely a Red Headed Penquin.

I think you had it right the first time, but I'm still trying to figure out how that penguin got up into the tree!
